Holiday Grab-Bag of Classes


2008-2009

  Join us for some special classes on the break between Thanksgiving and into the New Year. Some classes require you to bring some equipment with you so please look at the requirements for each class. All classes will be held at 9:30 a.m. and will last 45 minutes to an hour. No additional charge unless noted.

December 2nd - Yoga
Bring a yoga mat as we work through some beginner to moderate poses and stretch and awaken our body. No prior yoga experience required.
Requirements: Yoga mat, towel, water.
December 4th - Stability Ball Workout
Bring that Swiss Ball or Stability Ball that is taking up room in your closet and we'll go through a total body workout.
Requirements: Stability Ball, water, a good sense of balance or at least a good sense of humor.
December 9th - Bodysculpting
Using light hand weights (usually under 5 pounds) and we'll use them for a great upper body workout.
Requirements: One or two pair of light handweights, water.
December 11th - Yoga

December 16th - Stability Ball
Bring that Swiss Ball or Stability Ball that is taking up room in your closet and we'll go through a total body workout.

December 18th - AA Meeting
We've had fun with this title and I can't divulge too much. Let's just say it is named after two body areas that are frequently requested for workouts...Abs and A_ _.
Requirements: A desire to really workout these two areas and possibly walk funny for the next couple of days.
January 6th - Yoga

January 8th - Bodysculpting

January 15th - Self Defense
This class is partially lecture and partially hands-on. Learn some of the tips and tricks for staying as safe as possible in today's hectic world. While a lot may be common sense it doesn't hurt to get reminders of things we know we need to do but sometimes get too "busy" to do.
Requirements: Wear comfortable workout clothes in case you participat in demonstrations. You may want to bring a towel to sit on the floor.
